Who we are
Julia Johnson is an accomplished HSE and HR professional with more than a decade of experience, spanning field operations, corporate safety leadership, and full program development. As the founder of Basin Solutions, she has played a key role in helping oil and gas service companies across Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and the United States build and maintain strong, practical HSE and recruitment programs.
Julia is committed to delivering solutions that support compliance, improve culture, and protect workers in demanding environments. Her passion for safety is rooted in a simple goal: ensuring people go home safely at the end of every day.
When she is not working, Julia enjoys spending time outdoors. She can often be found mountain biking, skiing, camping, fly fishing, or working on her property. Above all, she values time with her husband and son.
Seth Christou focuses on supporting companies as they build and grow their teams. His work centres on recruitment and workforce development, helping organizations identify experienced professionals and strengthen the structure of their operational teams.
He works closely with founders, executives, and operations leaders to understand how their organizations function and where hiring and workforce planning can best support long term growth. His approach is shaped by a strong appreciation for the realities of operational environments and the importance of building teams that work well together.
Through his work at Basin Solutions, Seth supports organizations across a range of industries as they expand their teams and develop the workforce structure needed to sustain growth.
Outside of work, Seth spends much of his time in the mountains around Alberta and British Columbia. He enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, backcountry camping, and training Brazilian jiu jitsu. Above all, he values time with his wife and son.
